Job Title: Program Coordinator

Status: Full-Time (Preferred) or Part-Time

Salary Range: Starting at $22.00 hourly DOE

Summary

The Korean American Federation of Los Angeles (KAFLA) is a 501(c)(3) 2024 Top 100 California Nonprofit and 2022 California Nonprofit of the Year. Our mission is to represent and empower the Korean American community of Los Angeles County. We seek a motivated, responsible individual with a passion for community service. The bilingual Program Coordinator will assist community members in accessing services and support various community enhancement projects.

Under the supervision of our Program Director and in collaboration with fellow staff, the individual will carry out day-to-day program activities to meet and exceed all performance outcomes and deliverables. When directed, they will also act as the representative in cultivating and maintaining collaborative working relationships with all partners, key stakeholders, and other community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in community and digital media outreach

  • Conduct intake and assessment of clients

  • Provide one-on-one assistance to help access services and/or enroll in public benefits

  • Collect all necessary client facts and documents to complete enrollment, loan application, etc.

  • Keep informed of and obtain ongoing training on various public benefits such as small business loans, unemployment assistance, rent relief, etc.

  • Maintain our website and social media accounts

  • Edit videos for our YouTube channel and/or other content

Qualifications

  • Fluency in Korean, English

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Proven experience as a project coordinator, case manager, or other relevant work

Skills

  • Working knowledge of the use and operation of personal computers, printers, copiers, and fax machines

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word

  • Experience in the development and use of database application

  • Ability to organize and prepare documentation in a timely manner

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others

  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize work

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
